Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing and using The World Apartment website and booking services ("Services"), you accept and agree to be bound by the terms and provision of this agreement. If you do not agree to these Terms of Service, you may not use our Services.

2. Description of Service

The World Apartment provides vacation rental accommodation services in Florence, Italy. Our services include online booking, property information, guest communications, and accommodation management.

3. Booking and Reservations

3.1 Booking Process

  • All bookings must be made through our authorized booking platforms (Lodgify, direct booking)
  • Bookings are subject to availability and confirmation
  • You must be at least 18 years old to make a reservation
  • All information provided during booking must be accurate and complete

3.2 Payment Terms

  • Payment is required at the time of booking unless otherwise specified
  • All prices are quoted in Euros (EUR) and include applicable taxes unless stated otherwise
  • Additional fees may apply for services such as cleaning, extra guests, or damage
  • Payment is processed through secure third-party providers (Stripe, PayPal)

3.3 Confirmation

A booking is confirmed only when you receive a confirmation email with booking details. We reserve the right to decline any booking at our discretion.

4. Cancellation and Refund Policy

4.1 Guest Cancellations

  • No Refund Policy: All bookings are non-refundable regardless of cancellation timing
  • No-Show: No refund for failure to arrive

4.2 Host Cancellations

In the rare event that we must cancel your reservation, we will provide a full refund and reasonable assistance in finding alternative accommodation.

4.3 Force Majeure

Cancellations due to circumstances beyond our control (natural disasters, government restrictions, etc.) will be handled on a case-by-case basis with fair compensation.

5. Guest Responsibilities

5.1 Property Care

  • Treat the property with respect and care
  • Report any damages or issues immediately
  • Follow all house rules and local regulations
  • Ensure the property is left in good condition upon departure

5.2 Occupancy Limits

  • Maximum occupancy is 4 guests unless otherwise agreed
  • Additional guests must be approved in advance
  • Parties and events are not permitted without prior authorization

5.3 Legal Compliance

  • Comply with all local laws and regulations
  • Provide accurate identification when required
  • Pay all applicable tourist taxes and fees
  • Respect neighbors and community guidelines

6. Check-in and Check-out

6.1 Check-in

  • Standard check-in time is 3:00 PM - 8:00 PM
  • Early or late check-in may be available upon request (additional fees may apply)
  • Valid photo identification is required for all guests
  • Check-in instructions will be provided 24 hours before arrival

6.2 Check-out

  • Standard check-out time is 10:00 AM
  • Late check-out may be available upon request (additional fees may apply)
  • All keys and access cards must be returned
  • Remove all personal belongings and dispose of trash properly

7. Liability and Insurance

7.1 Limitation of Liability

The World Apartment's liability is limited to the total amount paid for your reservation. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages.

7.2 Guest Insurance

We strongly recommend guests obtain travel insurance. We are not responsible for personal belongings, injuries, or losses that occur during your stay.

7.3 Damage Policy

Guests are responsible for any damage caused to the property. Costs for repairs or replacements will be charged to the payment method on file.

8. Privacy and Data Protection

Your privacy is important to us. Please review our Privacy Policy to understand how we collect, use, and protect your personal information in compliance with GDPR and other privacy laws.

9. Intellectual Property

All content on our website, including text, images, logos, and design elements, is protected by copyright and other intellectual property rights. You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works without our written permission.

10. Prohibited Activities

The following activities are strictly prohibited:

  • Smoking inside the property (designated outdoor areas only)
  • Parties, events, or gatherings without prior approval
  • Illegal activities or behavior
  • Excessive noise that disturbs neighbors
  • Subletting or unauthorized commercial use
  • Bringing pets without prior approval

11. Dispute Resolution

11.1 Communication First

We encourage direct communication to resolve any issues. Please contact us immediately if you experience any problems during your stay.

11.2 Mediation

If direct communication fails to resolve a dispute, we agree to attempt mediation through a mutually agreed-upon mediator before pursuing legal action.

11.3 Governing Law

These Terms of Service are governed by the laws of Italy and the European Union. Any legal disputes will be resolved in the courts of Florence, Italy.

We reserve the right to modify these Terms of Service at any time. Changes will be posted on our website with an updated "Last modified" date. Continued use of our services after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the new terms.

14. Severability

If any provision of these Terms of Service is found to be unenforceable or invalid, that provision will be limited or eliminated to the minimum extent necessary so that these Terms of Service will otherwise remain in full force and effect.
